Anime Origins Tier List: Release Priorities

Use this cautious Anime Origins release tier list to prioritize roles, banner pulls, and upgrades without treating first-day rankings as permanent facts.

What is the Anime Origins release tier list?

This is a priority list, not a claim that one unit wins every mode. The first-day meta is still being tested, so units are grouped by how urgently their role improves a new roster.

Priority bandUnit or roleLaunch reason
Core utilityBulmaIncome can raise the ceiling of long runs
Core coverageAkenoHill targeting plus stun compresses two jobs
Carry candidatesGoku, Meliodas, SasukeHighlighted as useful or strong in release guidance
Team foundationCheap opener and area damageNeeded before expensive carries come online
Mode-dependentElement and status specialistsCan jump in value against the right enemy set

Why is there no permanent S-to-D table yet?

Anime Origins released on August 14, 2026. One professional release tier list explicitly describes its own rankings as an early work in progress while units are still being pulled, evolved, and tested. That is the right warning: a launch-day letter grade can hide evolution cost, element penalties, placement limits, and mode-specific utility.

Best early role target: Akeno

Akeno is a practical early target because release footage shows hill coverage and stun utility. She also has an element panel with a strong matchup into water-attuned enemies and a penalty into earth. That makes her valuable but not universal.

Read the focused Anime Origins Akeno guide before spending a large banner budget.

Best economy target: Bulma

Bulma is highlighted as a Mythic income unit in release guidance. Economy units are especially valuable in Infinite and long encounters, where early investment has time to repay itself. They are less urgent if your team cannot survive the opening waves.

How should I choose between damage carries?

For Goku, Meliodas, Sasuke, or another high-rarity attacker, compare:

  • current banner availability;
  • unevolved cost and performance;
  • evolution recipe;
  • target type and attack area;
  • element matchup;
  • status or active ability;
  • the mode you are trying to clear.

A carry that fits your materials and stage is better than a higher-ranked unit you cannot deploy, evolve, or support.

When will these priorities change?

Expect movement after balance updates, new banners, evolved-form testing, and endgame clears. The table above is dated to August 15 and should be read together with the current in-game unit panels.
