Anime Origins Game Modes: Story, Infinite & Raids
Understand what Story Mode, Infinite Mode, Raids, and World Bosses are for in Anime Origins and when a beginner should move into each challenge.
Which Anime Origins mode should I play first?
Play Story Mode first. It gives a new account the clearest sequence of maps, difficulty, and rewards. Move to Infinite Mode when you want to test how long a squad scales, then enter Raids and World Bosses for more specialized mechanics and progression goals.
Story Mode
Story is the practical backbone of early progression. Each clear gives you a controlled way to judge whether your opening placements, air coverage, element matchups, and upgrade order are working.
Use Story to:
- unlock access tied to normal progression;
- learn enemy paths and wave timing;
- level a stable core roster;
- identify which role your team is missing.
If you fail repeatedly, improve one specific weakness rather than upgrading every unit. A flying leak calls for hill coverage; a boss timeout calls for single-target damage; an expensive opening calls for cheaper deployment or income.
Infinite Mode
Infinite is an endurance test. It exposes problems that short Story stages can hide: weak scaling, no late-wave crowd control, poor economy, or too many units competing for the same job.
Before entering, bring:
- a low-cost opener;
- sustained area damage;
- a boss answer;
- air coverage;
- economy when it can repay itself over many waves.
Use your best reached wave as a comparison tool. Change one unit, trait, or placement plan at a time so you know what actually improved the run.
Raids
Raids are better treated as targeted content than as a beginner’s default grind. Public release coverage describes them alongside the game’s evolution and material systems, so enter with a goal: a needed material, a specific unlock, or a team that answers the raid mechanic.
Co-op can help, but duplicated roles still leave gaps. Coordinate who handles income, control, air targets, and boss damage before spending all early cash on carries.
World Bosses
Release-day gameplay coverage shows World Bosses as mechanically distinct encounters. Raw damage is useful, but positioning, timing, and status interactions can matter more than a generic tier label.
Bring a compact roster that can:
- survive the opening economy;
- maintain boss damage;
- handle adds or alternate paths;
- exploit the boss’s element or status weaknesses.
How often can mode details change?
Anime Origins launched as a live Roblox experience, and the official description includes “more challenges” beyond the named modes. Access rules, rewards, and the best farming route can therefore change with updates. This page describes the launch structure, not a permanent reward table.
Sources and coverage date
Named modes and the co-op premise come from the official Anime Origins Roblox listing. Mode and World Boss observations are supported by the August 14 release walkthrough Everything You NEED to Know About Anime Origins and the BloxInformer Anime Origins overview. Checked August 15, 2026.
